Pulsic

In my second year of college I got a chance to revisit one of my earlier works called Music Companion, a web application for creating music. I wasn't pleased with the design it ended up getting, so I revisited the project and made a design that fits the theme: darker colours and a more music-like interface.

This became Pulsic, a web based audio application that lets you create music by motion.

• A new visual style
• More options for the audio draggers (speed and dimension)
• Tone.js integration for more complex and better sounding synthesizers
• A landing page for the web application

This project was my first experience of creating something from the ground up, code wise. It started with simple HTML and CSS but got quite complex. Pulsic opened my eyes to how amazing coding can be: you only need a good idea and some time to figure out what you need to make it.

I chose audio because I've always had an interest in it, and this seemed like the best moment to test my creative knowledge. The application is made with the Web Audio API and drawn in Canvas. Experiment with Pulsic and start creating your own melodies.
