The Pulsic interface: glowing rings spreading from sound sources

[01] About

A web based audio application that lets you create music by motion.

Drag a sound source onto the field and it starts to pulse. Drop sound blocks inside its rings and every pulse that passes them plays a note. Move things around and the melody changes with them.

[03.1] NotesFrom the maker

Pulsic was my first experience of building something from the ground up, code wise. It started with simple HTML and CSS and grew quite complex. It opened my eyes to how amazing coding can be: you only need a good idea and some time to figure out what you need to make it.

I chose audio because I've always been interested in it, and it felt like the right moment to test my creative knowledge. Status: working on a version that saves its state.
